Outdoor Photography Adventure Workshop
Aug. 31 – Sep. 4, 2026
Ever dream of sharpening your photography chops while basing out of one of the Canadian Rockies’ best back country hiking lodges?
Pat Morrow—adventure photographer, videographer and honorary member of the Alpine Club of Canada—invites you to an unforgettable adventure photo workshop at Campbell Icefield Lodge.
Why Join Us?
With only 7 participants, this workshop keeps things intimate to ensure you get maximum time with Pat and plenty of space to soak up the wilderness vibes. You can work with your choice of camera bodies & lenses or show up with the latest and greatest iPhone or Android phone. Either way, the emphasis is about using the tools you have to capture the vision you see. Expect daily coaching on using your camera effectively combining creative, artistic, and journalistic approaches drawn from Pat’s 35+ years behind the lens.
If you’re a keen drone pilot and looking to fly in a mountain setting, this is a great opportunity. Our lease is outside of any park areas and flying is legal. Both Pat & Glen will have their drones and be able to share a few tricks they’ve learned.
In the evenings, we’ll gather to review your shots on a projector, swapping insights and feedback to give your learning curve a serious boost. Bring your laptop for editing as we’ll cover the basics of post-processing to uncover hidden details in your photos.
Food, Comfort, and Company
You’ll be well-fed with delicious meals throughout your stay. After long days in the mountains, relax in cozy private rooms with indoor plumbing—and yes, there’s a sauna and hot showers to ease sore muscles.
Your guides will be Pat Morrow and Glen Crawford, co-owner of the lodge and an old friend and colleague from Pat’s Banff School of Fine Arts days.
Pricing
$1,950 per person includes photo workshop, lodging, catering & helicopter. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.
