The group last week arrived with 50cm of fresh snow and then it snowed another 10cm. The search was on for steep enough terrain to ski 60cm of powder. Cold clear conditions moved in and as the snow pack settled out, a temperature inversion in the alpine offered daytime highs of -10 to -6c. Needless to say the skiing was exceptional.
